Tomaru, a lonely salaryman mired in a midlife crisis, suddenly comes into possession of a "match that turns back time." Just as he summons the courage to use this power to woo Ayumi—a subordinate he has long secretly loved—she abruptly announces her resignation to get married. Sensing a hint of melancholy beneath her decision, Tomaru repeatedly strikes the match to rewind time in a bid to ensure her happiness... but to what end?
