Because they are close relatives, great apes - particularly chimpanzees and bonobos - can help humans understand hominization, the evolutionary process that led to the appearance of man. Filmed in Nigeria, Tanzania and a Dutch zoo, this documentary explores the differences and similarities between apes and humans.
