Julia Kowalski

Julia Kowalski

Born in France to Polish parents, Julia Kowalski’s films question her relationship to her country of origin, constantly refining her favourite themes: adolescence, family, sexuality and the working class. I Saw the Face of the Devil is the result of research carried out for her second feature film which is currently in pre-production – the mystical emancipation of a young woman struggling with her monstrous desire.
