Žorž Skrigin was born on 4 July 1910 in Odessa, Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire. He participated in World War II as a Yugoslav partisan, and was also a film director, screenwriter, and photographer. He was married to Olga Skrigin, a prominent Yugoslav film editor.
