Imee Marcos

Maria Imelda Josefa Romualdez Marcos, better known as Imee Marcos, is the eldest of three children of dictator Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Sr. and first lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos. She was born on 5 November 1955 in Mandaluyong. From 1977 to 1986, she was the chairperson of Kabataang Barangay (a precursor of the current Sangguniang Kabataan), a position where her appointment was questioned by Archimedes Trajano (who would later be tortured and killed). In 1982, she served as the Director General of the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines. In 1984, she co-served with Antonio Raquiza as representatives of Ilocos Norte's at-large district at the Batasang Pambansa. From 1998 to 2007, she was the Ilocos Norte's 2nd district representative. From 2010 to 2019, she served as the governor of Ilocos Norte. In 2019, she was elected Senator, which she later won in the 2025 elections.
