Tommaso Whitney

Tommaso Whitney, better known as Tommaso Ciampa, is an American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a one-time AEW TNT Champion. After debuting in 2005, he established himself as one of the top independent wrestlers in North America, most notably in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he was a member of The Embassy and captured the ROH World Television Championship. During that time, he also wrestled for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Beyond Wrestling, and Chaotic Wrestling. Ciampa joined World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2015, forming #DIY with Johnny Gargano and becoming one of the defining stars of the NXT "Black and Gold" era. He won the NXT Championship twice, the NXT Tag Team Championship, and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice alongside Gargano before leaving WWE in January 2026 to sign with AEW. *Pro Wrestling Illustrated* ranked him No. 13 in the PWI 500 in 2019, and his rivalry with Gargano was named Feud of the Year by both *Pro Wrestling Illustrated* and the *Wrestling Observer Newsletter* in 2018. He has been married to former professional wrestler Jessie Ward since 2013 after the two were introduced by Samoa Joe.
