Sandeep Mohan

Sandeep Mohan is an Indian writer-director-producer known for pioneering alternative models of independent filmmaking and audience engagement. He is the creator of The Great Indian Traveling Cinema, a grassroots initiative that has brought independent films directly to urban audiences across India. His feature films include "Love, Wrinkle-Free," "Hola Venky," "Shreelancer," "Nirmal Anand ki Puppy," and "Danny Goes Aum." Working outside the traditional studio system, he is building an international reputation for combining personal storytelling with innovative self-distribution strategies in the micro-budget feature film space. His films have released in independent cinema theatres, screened at film festivals and independent exhibition platforms worldwide, while his work on audience-building and sustainable micro-budget filmmaking has been presented at film schools, festivals and industry forums internationally. Alongside filmmaking, the 51 year old Mohan has represented India in the BWF World Championships for Veteran Players(45+ age group in South Korea, 2023), reflecting a career that bridges sport, entrepreneurship and the arts.
