Gerard Vidal Barrena

Gerard graduated in Audiovisual Communication (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) in Barcelona and completed his studies at the FAMU film school in Prague. His feature film debut as a co-director, co-writer, producer and composer won the Biznaga de Plata for Best Direction and Best Actor at the Malaga Film Festival. His short film "Celebration" (2016), premiered at the Nest Film Students of the San Sebastián Festival, and won the SGAE New Authorship Award at the Sitges Film Festival. He is a LaCaixa Foundation Fellow.
