Manuel Siles

Peruvian screenwriter and director born in 1963. He studied film workshops with renowned Peruvian filmmaker Armando Robles Godoy. He began his career in Peruvian films as an assistant to various directors. He has worked in different areas of filmmaking, including lighting, sound, art direction, and assistant director. He won the Best Director award at the 2014 World Film Festival in Denver, USA, and the Best Screenplay award at the 2014 Montería International Film Festival in Colombia for his feature film "Extirpador de idolatrías" (Extirpator of Idolatries).
