Alberto Sciamma

Born in Barcelona. He started as a music video director and gradually moved to feature films as a writer/director. While his work spans various genres, it consistently creates unique worlds that are somewhat detached from naturalistic reality. His latest movie, CIELO, is his most personal yet universal work. Shot entirely in Bolivia, it marks his first movie in the Spanish language. The film has just begun its festival run, having won three awards at its first festival, Fantasporto 2025: Jury’s Special Award, Audience Award, and Best Cinematography.
