Enrique A. Mendoza

Enrique A. Mendoza is a Guatemalan filmmaker based in Los Angeles. His shorts have moved through a range of scales and worlds, from a sci-fi romance to a Guatemalan folk horror to a desert revenge piece, but they keep returning to the same instinct: putting characters under real pressure and letting genre be the door he uses to get to them. His most recent short, ROB ROY, premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Earlier work has screened at SCAD Savannah, Newport Beach, AFRIFF in Nigeria, and CURTAS in Spain.
