Thodoris Koutsogiannopolos

Thodoris Koutsoyannopoulos was born in Athens and raised in Piraeus, in Gallipoli. He studied sociology at Panteion, and continued doing a comparative study between American and European cinema, at the French Institute of Press and Information, at the Sorbonne. He started writing film criticism for the magazine "Cinema", and in 1990 he got a job at Ant1 television, as a copywriter for a film show. He stayed at this station for fifteen years, working in the morning zone and the news bulletin, while from 1997 to 2001 he presented and edited the film shows "Proti Prokofits" and "Cine Antenna". Since 2005 he has been working at the television station "Alpha", mainly talking about films and conducting interviews with directors and actors. He writes for the newspaper "Lifo" reviews of new films and the column "Pulp Fiction", as well as articles and interviews for the magazine "Vogue". In the past, he has also collaborated with the newspapers "I Kathimerini", "Ethnos" and "Proto Thema", providing reports from foreign festivals and writing articles about cinema.
