Isabella Gonzales Lastra

Isabella Gonzales Lastra is an award-winning independent filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and editor based in Dallas, Texas. She studies Film & Media Arts and Advertising at Southern Methodist University and is the co-founder of Feathered Serpent Pictures, an independent production company dedicated to arthouse and experimental cinema. Her films THEOPHANY (2023), THE MUSE AND HER LENTO (2023), AS THE CURTAIN FADES (2025), DARKEST NIGHT (2025), and TABLE FOR TWO (2025) have screened across the U.S. like Balboa Theatre in San Francisco, CA and internationally, earning recognition and awards in Italy, France, Greece, and Spain, including exhibition at the Climax Film Festival in Madrid. Her work is characterized by an introspective visual language that explores faith, identity, intimacy, and emotional liminality. In addition to narrative and experimental shorts, Isabella has worked on projects and music videos for artists such as Cure for Paranoia, Topline Addicts, and Team Effort. She has also worked under and shadowed industry professionals including Jennifer Prediger (Los Angeles–based writer, director, and Sundance Award–winning actress), Thaddeus Matula (Peabody and multi–Emmy Award winner), and Terence Donnellan (multi–Emmy–nominated filmmaker), continuing to refine a distinct cinematic voice rooted in contemporary arthouse and avant-garde filmmaking.
