Cyrus Bon

Cyrus Bon is a filmmaker and visual storyteller from Legazpi City, Albay. Their journey into cinema began on the stage, studying Performing Arts at Bicol University College of Arts and Letters. This foundation in theater gave them a deep understanding of performance and narrative before they transitioned to specializing in Film at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Currently, Cyrus Bon works as a freelance photographer and a content producer at the House of Ding, where they continue to sharpen their visual language. As a director, their work is driven by a passion for exploring the rich, often-untold narratives of the Philippines. They are particularly drawn to the mythologies and legends of the Philippine diaspora, aiming to translate these powerful stories into compelling and modern visual art.
