Salma Parra

Salma Parra, born in Venezuela and now residing in Dortmund, Germany, is an emerging artist deeply connected to her craft. Salma’s early fascination with drawing and painting evolved into a unique way of exploring the beauty in the everyday, evoking a nostalgic connections, and finding meaning in the present moment. A Communication Design graduate in Germany, Salma has discovered in art, design, and animation a way to evoke emotions and inspire empathy. Her work often explores complex social issues, offering critiques on political and social topics while retaining her characteristic warmth. Salma’s art has been exhibited alongside her university colleagues across Germany, in cities like Dortmund, Munich, and Frankfurt, as well as internationally in Lisbon, Portugal. For her bachelor's project, Salma pursued a dream: creating a 3D animated short film. Animation has been her passion since childhood, as she believes it’s not merely entertainment but a profound medium to connect with people and inspire change.
