Alex Dvorak

Alex is a Latina writer/director and journalist published in The Washington Post, HuffPost, The Cut, POPSUGAR, and more. Her narrative short film BAD SURVIVOR, a dark comedy plucked from her first twenty four hours in cancer remission as a teenager, celebrated it's LA Premiere at Slamdance Film Festival (2025), and has been an Official Selection at The Washington DC International Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, and more. BAD SURVIVOR has resonated with audiences and the press alike, with sold-out screenings, morning show features, and even a full episode on Shannen Doherty’s "Let’s Be Clear" podcast. Alex is a proud advocate for Teen Cancer America. As the daughter of immigrants from clashing cultures, a teen cancer survivor, and a runway model, Alex writes stories of teen rebellion based on real-life experiences with authenticity, dark humor, and heart.
