Tyler Peterfi

Tyler Dean Bartholomew Peterfi (born February 27th, 2007) is an Australian filmmaker, director, writer, actor, producer, editor and professional casting director. His most notable directorial works include L.I.M.B.O (2025), IV Claws (2024, co-directed with Memphis Pratt) and his prestigious short film from the surrealist world, Held Back (2025). Tyler Peterfi has also received recognition with the collaboration of filmmaking friend Tommy Linguey in their co-directed, award winning comedy short film, Damn (2024). Tyler Peterfi is the founder of several production companies including Pandemonium Productions, TnT Productions (co-founded with Tommy Linguey) and Synyster Productions (co-founded with Memphis Pratt). Tyler's early acting credits include Silence (2021) with longtime collaborator Oliver Waterson, Introvert (2023) with filmmaking friend Memphis Pratt, and Paranormal Pursuits (2024) where actor Nicholas Taylor would be a frequent collaborator in later works. Tyler is best known for directing, writing, acting and casting in many films alongside his fellow filmmaking friends and workmates. He is known for directing features with elements and themes of surrealism and incorporating absurd and impossible scenarios for his protagonists. The world of Surrealism is Tyler's passion and inspiration, taking interest into the many works of influential surrealist artists and filmmakers such as David Lynch (1946-2025), Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Luis Buñuel (1900-1983), Lewis Carrol (1832-1898) and many others.
