Dennis Routledge-Tizzard is a British born writer and director currently based in Barcelona, Spain. His work covers social issues that tackle uncomfortable questions head on with stories that start conversations, instead of ending them. He is particularly drawn to stories that explore our relationship with the spaces we inhabit and that bridge the gap between the personal and the political. His focus is always on pushing the formal, subjective aspects of filmmaking to create a strong sense of place and atmosphere. His first film Now or There (2024), an experimental short that explored the complex relationship between humans and nature, was screened a festivals around the world and nominated for several awards. His follow up short film Fantasmas (2026) is a horror film about the housing crisis in Barcelona and is about to enter the festival market.
