Sarah Avilés

Sarah Avilés is a Chicana writer, director, and comedian from Los Angeles. She creates character-driven, absurdist dark comedies inspired by her kooky upbringing, fascination with fringe communities, and love of misfits. She co-created and developed a mystery-comedy scripted podcast with Sonoro Media, was a Foundation House Artist in Residence, and was sponsored to attend The 2025 Sundance Film Festival with Latino Filmmakers' Network. She holds a degree in Screenwriting and Producing from Regent’s University London.
