Krsto Giljen

Krsto Giljen (b. 2002) is a student of Film and Television Directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, Montenegro. His graduation short film, When Friends Part Ways?, marks the culmination of his academic film work. In addition to filmmaking, he is an award- winning poet. His debut poetry collection, Butterfly in the Frame, earned him the national Ratković Poetry Prize for Young Poets in 2023. His second collection, Jimmy, Do You Love Me?, was published in May 2025 by LOM Publishing. Giljen is also the author of several poetic film essays and occasionally works as a journalist, essayist, and critic. He lives and creates in Nikšić, Montenegro.
