Watan Wuma

Born in 1958, a member of the Atayal Tribe from Jianshih Township, Hsinchu County. A graduate of the Department of Political Science, Fu Hsing Kang College. A renowned performance artist in Taiwan. Since 2000, the artist has participated in the production of performance art programs such as the Taipei International Performance Art Festival. Watan Wuma founded Water Field Tribe in 2004 and was the former art director of the art group. After presenting Photography Prohibited in 2004, Watan Wuma has successively produced performance artworks till this day. Between 2009 and 2015, Watan Wuma has performed in art festivals in places including Taipei, Beijing, Seoul, The Philippines, Qinghai, Indonesia, China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Mexico, Singapore, Macau, Xi’an, and Bangkok.
