Sachith Karunaratne

Sachith Karunaratne is a British-Sri Lankan filmmaker whose deep passion for cinema has shaped every stage of his career. Since 2019, he has built The Films Critic into a respected platform for film education, criticism, and visual storytelling, delivering reviews, infographics, and high-profile collaborations across social media that have cultivated a substantial and engaged audience. Since 2022, Karunaratne has also worked closely with The Cyber Nerds, both platforms operating under Red Yellow Blue Entertainment Ltd. That creative partnership ultimately led to Made in Bletchley, his directorial debut, and a project that draws on the full breadth of his cinematic knowledge and craft. As well as directing, Karunaratne co-edited the film, bringing the same precise, considered sensibility to the cut that defines his work as a critic and storyteller.
