Yinka Olorunnife was born January 30, 1990 in Lagos, Nigeria. At age 5 her family immigrated to Australia, then migrating again to Canada at age 13. Prior to her acting career, Yinka first made waves as a professional basketball player. She attended the University of Idaho on an athletic scholarship, then later went on to play in the top professional women's basketball leagues in Europe and Australia.
