Uddannet ved Det kgl. Teaters elevskole med afgang 1968. Hun havde engagement på Odense Teater og spillede på turné i Sydslesvig i "Rejsen til de grønne skygger". Ellen Staal iscenesatte "Sommer i Tyrol" på Dansk Dukketeater.
